The WVD season kicked off last night under fairy lights at The Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in Penrith, with ‘Voices in the Valley’.
To say it was great is an understatement;
it was a beautiful, moving, emotional… and fun celebration of what it is to have a voice.
From the amazing guts and joy of the small Nordoff Robbins, Music as Therapy Men’s group, our own “Choir of Tough Times”…. to the professionalism and perfection of the AVA’s beautiful Judy Rough singing world class opera.
There was the Riverlands Harmony Choir, talented kids and young adults from the International School of Music, ….the fun of musical theatre from Blue Mountains Musical Society with Spamalot, the lovely voice of Petronie and the unique talent and passion of our very own Rapper Ivan J Zainey.
I think it’s safe to say that voice really DOES matter as we head into the week of celebrations.
Don’t forget to share YOUR events and observations with us so we can tell the world that VOICE MATTERS.
