Welcome back to Word Voice Day Aus for 2018.
Here in Australia we believe that there is so much to say about voice, that we don’t want to limit the fun to just one day…so THIS year we are dedicating the entire month of April as
“Voice Awareness Month”
Of course we will celebrate April 16th with our brothers and sisters across the globe, but we want to give you all plenty of opportunity to get involved. Why not plan to host an event, start a conversation, raise awareness …(or funds)…to support research into the early diagnosis and management of life changing voice disorders, while reflecting on the important role that voice plays in every aspect of our daily life.
World Voice Day has been celebrated annually on 16th April since 1999. It originally focussed on the science of voice, but soon became a celebration of its beauty, prompting us to marvel at its magic and to recognise the need for vocal care.
Watch this space as we share plans for professional development events , public performances, human interest articles, media events and so much more over the coming months.
